Farewell, 2014

As we get a little older, it comes a little quicker
And there’s nothing we can do about that
(Happy New Year ~ Frank Turner & Jon Snodgrass, 2014)

A few days ago I already stated that I’m quite ready to say goodbye to 2014. No idea if the next year will really be any better, but I’m willing to give it a try. A lot of it might actually up to be anyway, to my outlook to life and everything.

Anyway, amidst all the worrying and feeling overwhelmed with work and life and anything in this past year, there also was quite a lot of good stuff, which is what I want to focus on, when I look back on 2014.

Good stuff like….

2014_1

A few days in London, including a trip to Hogwarts. And the O2

2014_2

Outlander started on TV in August and a few weeks earlier “Written in My Own Heart’s Blood” (Outlander Book 8) was published and I did and do love both immensly. The TV show, the new book. And yes, Caitriona and Sam as well.

2014_3

Time spent with good friends doing fun stuff like visiting the zoo or enjoying a stay in a wellness hotel with yummy food and a trip to the beach.

2014_4

I  discovered the wonderful novels of the amazing Jojo Moyes.

2014_5

Frank Turner continued to rule my music life. I’m soooo looking forward to the new album and new tour in 2015.

2014_6

Relaxing days on my favourite island in the English Channel…

Farewell, 2014. You’ve been a weird year, but that’s ok.
