Over the last couple of days I had a few “You should blog about this” thoughts, but then I never got around to it, whether it was lack of time or energy or whatever. It was a busy week and I didn’t sleep well on a few nights and the weather around here sucks. Seriously, ground frost warning at the end of May? WTF?!?!?!

I saw “The Great Gatsby” this week and enjoyed it. I admit I didn’t know much about the story, because 15 years ago I couldn’t bring myself to finish reading the classic. Back then I thought it was boring as hell. After watching the movie now I guess I understand why *g* The plot is kind of boring and the movie could have been paced a bit faster for my taste, but it was entertaining enough. It was colourful and crazy and in a lot of ways shot beautifully so it was worth watching all in all. I really liked Leonardo di Caprio in this one and I still have to buy some songs from the soundtrack, because the music was pretty neat as well.

Two days ago I finished listening to the audiobook of “Drums of Autumn”, the 4th book of the Outlander series. The memory from the first time I read the book (and later listened to the audiobook) actually made me expect a few boring parts in this audiobook, but it didn’t feel like that this time around. No idea why, but I didn’t feel bored at all. Probably because by now I’m fully sucked into the Outlander-World again :-)

If I’m not working, sleeping or listening to Outlander audiobooks these days I’m watching old Gilmore Girls episodes and/or playing the Candy Crush Saga on my phone. It’s an exciting life I lead these days, isn’t it…?
Heh, I’ve been playing too much Candy Crush on FB. My phone is too old/slow to play on it..maybe that’s a good thing.
As for Outlander, I’ve only listened to one audiobook, but would love to listen to them all. In fact, I need to read at least the last one again before this next book comes out in the fall. Exciting!
I’m listening to all the audiobooks in my car for the same reason: to get back into all of it and refresh my memory before book 8 comes out later this year. Have you checked out audible.com? They’ve got great deals going on, if you’re satisfied with just downloading one book per month.
I can’t wait for the next book of this series and to see how it will all play out for all the characters I grew to love over the last few years.
