Weekend recap…

While I’m listening to the hockey broadcast from Nürnberg, I thought I’d write a short recap of my weekend. It was pretty laidback, including a bit of the usual housewife-y things . During the usual grocery shopping and other errands I saw that “P.S. I Love You” finally is out on DVD. I just couldn’t wait and had a comfy movie night last night. With lots of chocolate and lots of tissues. I think I cried even more than I did when I saw it at the movies in the spring. But the comedy parts of this film provided for the necessary balance, so I didn’t go to bed depressed. Not at all, because it’s a great movie and I had a great time watching it.

If it wasn’t so embarrasing I could have laughed about that misspelling on the DVD case. How did that go unnoticed in the process of printing that stuff ?!?!

Besides watching “PS I Love You” last night I had some system and tuning programs run on my computer. I found a new defragment program, which I loved. Yes, I admit to being a bit of a computer nerd. After I switched from Wn98 to WinXP a few years ago I was somewhat disappointed to see that the defragment program didn’t let me watch the progress of the defragmentation anymore. But the programm Defraggler still does show the visual drive map with all the squares in different colours. And it lets you defragment files and folders seperately which is a cool feature as well. Because it doesn’t take as many hours as it does to defragmentthe whole harddrive. And it sort of lets you follow the progress on the map and I still like to follow that. Yes, I’m a nerd.

I tried to write two more 100×100 ficlets but I’m afraid my muse has switched into the weekend = not working mode too. I had some ideas and I started writing, but I just couldn’t get it right. And there is no way to force an idea, if it doesn’t want to be written, I guess. Maybe it’ll work out next week. Because I enjoy doing it.

Today Bro2 and I went to the ZOOM Erlebniswelt, which is a great, modern and very interesting zoo. We didn’t spent too much time there, because it was rather crowed. Which could have been expected on a sunny fall Sunday, but we didn’t thought so many familys would spent their Sunday there as well. I might post some pictures in a few days, when I’ve sorted through my photos. We also went to the Gasometer in Oberhausen, which is part of the industrial heritage trail and also serves as location for different exhibitions. At the moment it’s an exhibition with huge photos, taken from satellites,  of different regions of the earth. Very impressive.

Less impressive is what the Sharks are doing in Nürnberg at the moment. They’re 1:5 behind after 15 minutes of the 3rd period and heading for the 7th loss in the 7th game in a row. I’m speechless. Utterly speechless. At the moment it’s not much fun to be a Cologne fan.
