Soooo, it only took me two weeks to choose and upload those pictures :-) But at least there is a whole bunch of them, so it was worth the wait. Hopefully.
If you follow me on Twitter you might have read some of my itinerary for that trip. Main event was of course the Icehockey Worldchampionship 2015, where Team Germany didn’t do as bad as I had feared in advance. So all was good on that front. There are no hockey photos here, because, to be honest, those tournaments and venues look a lot a like. The O2 Arena in Prague is a good hockey venue, a good venue in general. Enough food/drink stalls, enough restrooms, great service.
But… Prague. I’ve never been before and so many people have told me before, that it’s such a beautiful city and worth visiting. And what can I say… they were right :-) A lot of historic buildings, churches, palaces, lanes and squares and such. Museums and galleries as well, but we didn’t have time to spend inside of those. We had some hockey games to watch after all… But seriously, you can definitely spend 4-5 days in Prague and don’t run out of things to see or do.
St. Vitus Cathedral (part of the Prague Castle) might have been the most impressive. Such a beautiful gothic church. I also loved the Dancing House, but unfortunately a lot of my photos got traffic lights or some wires in it, which sucks a bit. But in reality the building is really cool to look at. And the Spanish Syngogue was another highlight.
The photos should all have caption, so you know what you’re looking at, when you’re browsing through the gallery (Click those thumbnails to enlarge, as usual).
